Why this site exists
Search for dog sledding in Fairbanks and you get a wall of listings whose durations are not measuring the same thing. One tour's "1 hour 30 minutes" is thirty minutes of driving, twenty to thirty minutes of sledding and half an hour of photographs. Another tour's "30 minutes" is thirty minutes on the sled.
Neither listing is dishonest. Put side by side without that distinction, though, they mislead. And the price difference between them runs to eighty dollars.
Separating listed duration from sled time is the main job of this site. The rest is the practical detail the listings bury: which tours collect you from a hotel, which issue gear, which one is sold non-refundable, and where the kennels actually are.
Where the facts come from
Tour prices, durations, ratings, review counts, inclusions, age limits and cancellation terms are read off each operator's own listing on the date shown on the page, in US dollars. Every tour page carries the same fields in the same order. Tour listings checked: September 2026.
Sled time comes from the operator's own words. The listing itself, the itinerary, or the operator's published replies to reviewers. Where an operator states plainly that a 90-minute tour includes 20 to 30 minutes of sledding, we print that rather than round it up.
Where a listing warns that UTVs replace the sleds in low snow, we print that too. Season dates, meeting points and driving instructions are quoted from the listings. Temperatures are Fairbanks monthly averages.

How this site earns

We have never taken a booking and cannot take one. Bookings, payments, changes and customer service are handled by the operator or platform on their own site.
We also have no presence claim to make. Nobody on this site rode these sleds on your behalf; what you get instead is every published fact about them, gathered in one place and dated.
Corrections
Fairbanks operators shift start times, trails and prices through the season, and a kennel that ran at 11:00 am last winter may not this one. If something here is out of date, tell us on the contact page and we will re-check the listing and re-date the page.
